Namaste (means I bow).
YOGA has been a renown to bringing good health, happiness and a peace to the mind for those who practise it. It has been passed on for thousands of years in the East and recognised by the West. I am concerned with the physical aspects of Yoga and hope to practise it regularly. I was told that regular practitioners would be able to observe subtle and beautiful changes in their lives.
I am trying to improve my postures and more importantly aid frequent lower back pain. I keep on telling my hubby that I want to start Yoga since my colleagues shared with me about Yoga classes for Citibankers every Tuesday and only RM 20.00 will be deducted from your salary monthly. But my hubby suggested that I buy some Yoga CD and practise at home. So each time I bring up the topic, the same response I will get from him.
So anyway, recently I went to MPH with my Mom. Mom picked up a cupcake book in a box and said that she wanted to buy it for Kak Na. Next to the stack of cupcake boxes I saw a few Yoga boxes. I told Mom I wanna practise Yoga. Her response was OK. I buy you that! pointing to the box.
Last night was my first time to practise Yoga. And the pose I enjoy the most is the cat stretch. Rayray was watching me doing Yoga. He gave me a peculiar look, maybe wondering what I was doing. Well he loves stretching anyway, so he should understand. Cat Stretch gives a rhythmical spinal stretch , strengthens the shoulders, wrists, spine and hip joints.
I hope to do Yoga often as it can really help put our stress away. I was doing some pose when my hubby laughed staring at me while I was struggling to correct my pose so that it's similar the Yoga guru's instructions in the video. Well, it's my first time.. I'll do better next time.. But good that he sort of helped telling me how to pose it. It's as if I have a coach in the house. :)
